What "Aretopoiesis" Means

The Philosophy Behind the Name

The name comes from two Greek words: Arete (Αρετη) and Poiesis (ποιησης).

For Aristotle, Arete (excellence or virtue) was never a fixed trait some people simply have.  It is a practice: you become excellent by repeatedly doing the things excellence requires, not by declaring yourself excellent once.

Poiesis (ποιησης) means "making" or "bringing into being". It is the active creation, not passive assembly.

Put together, Aretopoiesis becomes "the making of excellence". It is a philosophy, not just a name. It's the reason the work here runs in phases rather than as a single project handed over and forgotten.

Excellence, in a growing business, isn't a state you arrive at. It's built, deliberately, in stages, and maintained on purpose. That's what Aretopoiesis is set up to do alongside you.

THE PERSON BEHIND THE STRATEGY

Anastasia Konstantopoulou, Founder

Anastasia founded Aretopoiesis after building her own UK handmade artisan brand from the ground up, and combining that hands-on operating experience with a senior academic management role in higher education.

That dual perspective of running a brand day-to-day, and delivering strategy at an institutional level is what shapes the way Aretopoiesis works with SMEs: practical enough to execute, rigorous enough to hold up under scrutiny.

WHAT DRIVES US

Mission & Vision

Mission
Vision

To give ambitious SMEs the same calibre of strategic thinking larger companies take for granted, delivered personally, in phases sized to what the business can actually absorb.

A future where growth doesn't force a trade-off between senior guidance and staying true to what makes a business independent,  where excellence is built deliberately. Phase by phase.
